Notes

This issue is on the red Parlophone label from 1962. Described below are the label design features that differ from other red label variants listed on Discogs. Has MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN under the Parlophone trade mark logo on both sides of the label. The "L" of the title LOVE ME DO sits above the "Le" of the writing credit "Lennon-McCartney" below it. Other variants have the "L" slightly right shifted to sit above the "en" of Lennon. The "A" of ARDMORE and the "B" of BEECHWOOD are exactly vertically aligned with each other on both A and B sides. The "B" of BEECHWOOD is aligned so that it sits directly above the 7X of the matrix number 7XCE 17144/45 below on both A and B sides. Another variant has this credit slightly aligned to the right so that the B sits above XC of the matrix number. The "R" in RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1962 text is aligned below and under the "C" of the matrix number 7XCE 17144/45 above it. Another variant has the "R" slightly left aligned in comparison and sits under the "XC" of the matrix number. On the B side the Lennon -McCartney writing credits for P.S. I Love You are in brackets. Another B side variant has these writing credits with the right bracket missing. The combination of the above label features together on one release do not appear on any other red label variant listed in discogs.
