Notes

- Absence of the 'MADE IN GT. BRITAIN' text under the Parlophone logo on the label. - This versions label has the title 'LOVE ME DO' CENTRE-aligned with the 'Lennon-McCartney' writing credit below it. - The "L" in the LOVE ME DO title sits above the L and e of the 'Lennon-McCartney' writing credit below it. This label design differs on another label variant of the red label LOVE ME DO where the "L" of LOVE is shifted further to the right. - It does not have a missing parenthesis after the 'Lennon-McCartney' writing credit on the B-side, 'P.S. I LOVE YOU'. Some copies have the tax code "ZT" embossed on punch-out centre, others only have ZT on runouts (the punch-out centre without embossing). A ZT tax code stamped in the runout indicates a pressing made before November 1962 when the code changed to PT, from 1st jenuary 1963 to 30 June 1963 changed in MT, and after KT In January 1963 Parlophone ceased production of its red label design. Consequently original issues of [m=45574] & [m=45619] were the only Beatles singles, released in the '60s in the UK, with these red labels. The red labels included the 45- prefix in the catalogue number, to differentiate from 78 RPM records, even though Parlophone had ceased the production of these by the late '50s. Certain later reissues, either individually or as part of box sets, exist which reflect the original design but contain noticeable differences.
