This version issued in a matte sleeve with a thin angled thumb-cut on rear and straight glued flaps with rounded lower ends. The inside of the sleeve is brown. The vinyl shows translucent red when held to a strong light. A Fractured Music; A Factory Record. Side A label text - 'For ∙ ML' - refers to Martha Ladly, Peter Saville's then girlfriend. Track B2 is not credited on sleeve or label. Side A plays 45rpm, side B plays 33 1/3 rpm. The two-letter combination in the matrices are written horizontally and are separate from the other etchings. The original Love Will Tear Us Apart 7" pressings (from 1980) appear in a number of variations of sleeve, thumb-cut, glued rear flaps, and pressing plant.
